Electricity seemed to be a miracle when it first came out. Although the lighting was harsh compared to a glowing fire or a kerosene lamp, it was brighter and easy to use.But as many are finding out now in 2008, electricity is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity and that necessity over the next year or two may be out of the reach of millions as they drop back in to the Dark Ages where there is no way for them to access the Internet, no way to stay warm, no way to see at night, no way to keep food fresh, no way to cook.
